I'd like to think that along with shrubs and flowers, we have also allowed nature to play it's part in the garden and have now seen well over 40 species of birds, plus badgers, foxes (of course) hedgehogs and grass snakes. However, the recent addition of Mr and Mrs Roe Deer have tested my view in this regard. We've no roses, geraniums and bluebells left, so I'm not sure how colourful we will be on the day, as I rely on roses and geraniums to plug the infamous 'gap'.
