Frimley Green Village Open Day 2003
Gardens Open for Charity
Welcome to the fourth Frimley Green Open Gardens Day Sunday 8th June.
Garden gates will be being thrown open as locals welcome neighbours, and visitors from
further afield, into their normally private world of plants, ponds and pergolas. As well
as enjoying a pleasant afternoon you can take pleasure in the knowledge that all profits
will go directly to local charities through the auspices of the Frimley Green Carnival
Committee.
For those without transport, a shuttle service is being provided from the Green, courtesy of Tony Moore and the Scout minibus.
For those who will be driving, please take care, as the entrance to the gardens is on an awkward bend, with the only pavement on the other side of the road. To minimise problems with passing traffic, it is suggested that drivers park with care on the pavement side of the road and take caution crossing the road.Teas will be provided on the Green by the Mytchett and Frimley Green W.I. from 2pm to 6.30pm and a "watering hole" will be provided by the Carnival Committee at Oakleigh, 22 The Hatches. Drinks of water or squash will be available here at a minimal cost to anyone who is literally "gasping"
The Committee hope you enjoy the day, and thank all the owners, helpers, Scouts and the W.I. for giving their time, equipment and their gardens to make this day possible.
The price includes entry to all participating gardens;
