Through hard work and effort "The Friends of the Library" transformed the waste ground next to the library into a community garden raising funds through local businesses, coffee morning, etc. It was officially opened on the Garden Open Day last year and won Surrey Heath in Bloom – Best Community Garden 2001. There are winding paths, disabled access, Storytime Circle and seating for all the community to enjoy. Since last year’s opening more perennial planting has been added and the side garden completed.
